8.6. Induction system of air supply in the engine (ACIS)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of elements of induction system of air supply in the engine

The induction system of air supply in the engine changes the direction of a stream of air in an inlet collector depending on engine turns.

The executive mechanism of system is operated the vacuum created in an inlet collector.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For check of induction system of air supply establish a tee with the manometer between the adjusting valve and a vacuum hose.
2. Start the engine on idling turns. At the same time the manometer should not show vacuum.
3. For a short time press against the stop an accelerator pedal. At the same time the manometer has to show vacuum, and draft of the executive mechanism has to move.
4. If vacuum is absent, check passability of a vacuum hose and serviceability of the switching vacuum valve (VSV).
5. Check a condition of the vacuum tank, blowing through it air. At air supply in channel A air has to come out channel B, and in the opposite direction air should not pass.
6. Creating vacuum in the vacuum tank through channel B, a finger of a hand check that vacuum in channel A keeps within at least 1 minute.
7. For check of the switching vacuum valve of a podsoyeda to Nita to its contacts an ohmmeter also measure resistance which has to be in limits of 33-39 Ohms.
