14.4.3. Repair of the rusted openings or holes in a body design

GENERAL INFORMATION

Remove paint from the damaged area and approximately on 20 mm around it. Using a metal brush, clear the showered rust from the surface of the bared metal on the damaged area. Process the damaged area rust solvent according to its instruction. Close an opening from a rust or a hole the metal gauze or a strip of aluminum foil. Cut out the piece of a grid which is approximately corresponding to an opening form, enclose it in an opening so that its edges did not act over the level of the panel surrounding an opening. Fix it by means of several lumps of spackling paste on perimeter. Using the screw-driver handle, level the ends of a grid so that it densely adjoined to body metal. Further produce filling, painting and polishing of the damaged site of a body.
