1.3.2.3. Replacement of oil and oil filter

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

If at the fulfilled engine oil there is a metal shaving, it usually indicates wear of radical or conrod bearings of a bent shaft.

Tools necessary for replacement of oil and oil filter

1 – a flat wide container for oil discharge;
2 – rubber gloves for an exception of hit of hot oil on hands;
3 – the extended key handle;
4 – a key for unscrewing of a masloslivny stopper;
5 – a special key for unscrewing of an oil filter;
6 – the special key for unscrewing of an oil filter established on a back part of the filter

Periodic replacements of oil and the filter – the most important preventive procedures of maintenance. When engine oil grows old, it becomes liquid and is polluted ny that leads to premature wear of the engine.

Before this operation gather all necessary tools and materials. It is necessary that the engine was warm in order that oil flew down together with the bulk of pollutants better.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
	2. Unscrew a drain stopper approximately on a half of a turn. Place a container for discharge of oil under a drain stopper and unscrew a stopper completely. If it is necessary, press a stopper when you unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely.
3. When oil completely flows down, wipe everything around a drain opening a rag and reliably screw up a masloslivny stopper.
	4. Install a container for the merged oil under an oil filter and, using the special tool, weaken the filter, then unscrew it a hand.
5. Wipe all traces of oil and dirt around the place of fastening of the filter. Check whether there was no rubber consolidation on the block of cylinders. If it remained, then remove it.
6. Screw in an oil filter a hand to a contact of rubber laying with the engine then you dovintit the filter a hand on 3/4 turns.
7. Install the car on a plain horizontal surface.
8. Fill in fresh engine oil through an oil-filling mouth.
9. Close a cover of a maslozalivny mouth, start the engine and let's it work several minutes. Check it regarding leak of oil around the filter and a drain stopper on the oil pallet. Keep in mind that the emergency bulb of pressure of oil can burn several seconds as oil has to fill all channels and oil capacities in the engine.
10. Switch off the engine and wait several minutes that oil flew down in the pallet. Check the level of oil and add if it is necessary.
