Braking by the engine (b)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Switch off the switch of the animator (it possibly only in position of the lever of the D selector). At the same time the light signaling device "O/D OFF" blinks and the third transfer will be included.

2. Install the selector lever in situation "2", at the same time the second transfer will be included and at reduction of turns of the engine braking is carried out by the engine.

3. Install the selector lever in situation "L", at the same time the first transfer will be included and at reduction of turns of the engine the maximum braking is carried out by the engine.

Car speed at which it is necessary to switch the selector when braking by the engine

Engine 5S-FE
"2"
105 km/h

"L"

50 km/h

Engine 3VZ-FE

"2"

115 km/h

"L"

52 km/h

Provisions "2" and "L" of the lever of the selector (c).

This position is recommended for long rises and descents.

Automatically switch the 1st and 2nd transfer depending on load of the engine and speeds of the movement up and down, the 3rd transfer remains blocked to avoid unnecessary switchings to the highest transfer. At the same time efficiency of braking by the engine also increases.

The maximum speeds for the movement on the corresponding transfers

Engine 5S-FE

"2"

115 km/h

"L"

65 km/h

Engine 3VZ-FE

"2"

115 km/h

"L"

52 km/h
